ETF

Exchange-traded fund

An Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) is a type of investment fund that is traded on stock exchanges, much like individual stocks. ETFs are similar to mutual funds in that they hold a collection of assets (like stocks, bonds, or commodities), but unlike mutual funds, ETFs can be bought and sold throughout the trading day at market prices. In contrast, mutual funds are only traded once per day at their net asset value (NAV) after the market closes.
